Molecule versus Electron: The challenge between fuels and electricity in engines, in the book, the "molecule"
represents the traditional automotive sector based on fossil fuels, while the "electron" is the symbol of electric vehicle technology. The plot revolves around the comparison between these technologies, increasingly often put in competition with each other.
The author uses the device of a group of friends, gathered for a convivial meeting and with differing opinions
on the choice of the best car to buy, to present technically complex topics in a smooth and understandable way.
Marco, one of the friends most experienced in the energy sector, tries to objectively explore the
different options, but his convictions, influenced by his professional experience, inevitably come
into conflict with those of Giulia, a convinced environmentalist and passionate supporter of change, and Dario, a skeptic convinced that electric is just a bluff to force people to change cars. In the end, it is up to Monica, the hostess, to summarize the discussion and try to reconcile the different theses.
It is an engaging book that captures the reader's attention with a compelling style, offering
an opportunity to delve into and easily understand the mechanisms that guide choices for
future mobility and helps to reflect on the importance of adopting ecologically responsible solutions for a sustainable future.
