Lydia Maria Pallier (Budapest, May 23, 1930 – Rome, November 2, 2020), Czechoslovak, from Prague, full psychoanalyst with training functions at the Italian Psychoanalytic Society, member
of the group of analysts of the “Centro di Via Salaria” in Rome, was a prominent figure in the contemporary psychoanalytic landscape, both for her intense clinical passion and her extraordinary independence of thought. The book, written by her students, describes and develops the main themes of her clinical research, indicating an innovative path in Psychoanalysis, in which the analyst, in a therapeutic relationship that is alive, transparent, and authentic, self-legitimizes the use of their own human qualities to effectively help the patient remove obstacles to the full development of their right to exist and to identify the direction and meaning of their life.
