The book collects a significant number of “letters of the soul” written by people with disabilities and their families and: “the snapshot that emerges is one in which the impact that this health emergency has had on daily life has not always and only been negative, despite the suffering it caused.”

The lesson to be learned is that “we need to take it to the next level, go beyond to live reality with courage… and let that generative power emerge that pushes us to look beyond and upwards.” The comments and reflections of the authors are essential aids to deeply understand the discomfort experienced by the world of disability. The three different perspectives open a significant scenario especially for those who have the opportunity to make vital decisions for the future.

With a preface by Hon. Paola Binetti
